FORTRESS GLOBAL at Singapore Airshow-2018
In February 2018, the representatives of FORTRESS GLOBAL company visited the largest aerospace exhibition in Asia and the third largest in the world – Airshow in Singapore. Since 2008, almost all the global leading manufacturers and sellers of both civil and military aircraft have gathered at the single large area at Singapore Airshow every two years. Airshow 2018 once again became a meeting place for numerous government and commercial delegations from all the continents.
Aircraft producers from fifty countries presented the most advanced and acute developments in the helicopter industry to the broad public at Singapore Airshow-2018 – the most prestigious air forum in Asia.
The first in Asia and the third one on the planet
As is the case with the previous air shows, the Singapore Civil Aviation Authority and the Singapore Defense Technology Agency were the main organizers of the event. Singapore Airshow took place at a spacious exhibition area of 24 hectares. It hosted covered pavilions of 40,000 m2 in size; a static open-air aircraft exhibition that occupied 90,000 m2; an arena for spectators to watch exhibition performance.
Traditionally, this air show comprised of two stages: on 6-9 and 10-11 of February 2018. The first stage included a 4-day business program (conferences and negotiations). The second one is a spectacular air show for the broad public: the exhibition and presentation of aircraft and helicopters, as well as demonstration flights. They were performed by pilots from five countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the United States.
Helicopters from Singapore to all over the world
Besides helicopters, interesting business solutions related to their practical use were presented to all Singapore Airshow-2018 visitors. All the points of the following issues were covered:
- control systems;
- regular maintenance and repair of helicopters;
- painting and coating;
- spare parts and components supply;
- communication system;
- leasing and financial services
Potential buyers were informed about all the special aspects of probable contracts for after-sale maintenance of helicopters. As a result, each visitor to the company’s exhibition pavilion received clear and comprehensive information about the ways of using helicopters in commercial and economic activities.
